Jessica Reiss PMHNP-BC, FNPc (she/her)
I have been working in healthcare for over nearly 25 years. After graduating college with a BSN, I went to work as an RN in a surgical ICU for 7 yrs. Then, I became a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and worked in many different settings for over 15 yrs, including community health and primary care offices. Eventually, I decided I needed a change….
So, I went back to school and studied psychiatry. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am honored to work with people as they optimize their mental health. I love spending more time with clients. I assist them in making improvements in their personal lives, as well as how they relate to their families, friends and co-workers.
As a PMHNP, my primary focus is psychiatric diagnosis and medication management. I function independently - diagnosing, reviewing labs, and writing prescriptions on my own. I offer informal therapy that may include themes from DBT, CBT, solution focused, enneagram and IFS theories. I also incorporate my background as a medical provider into my practice and seek ways to optimize clients holistically.
